In the last book of the New Testament, Revelation, the last chapter, 22, gives a high level overview of the everlasting life prepared for those who follow Jesus, the Messiah.
Encourage and strengthen each other with these words.
Our future state is more than encouraging. There will be no more curse, that is nothing left in us that is destined for destruction. We begin to see God’s kingdom breaking through into our world now, but then our joy will be made full.
If we want God’s kingdom to break into our lives more and more we need to 1) desire a closeness to God, and 2) yield to His desires for our lives. We need to set our desires under God’s desires. We need to trust that God knows and wants what is best for us.
